Colorado Rockies

Well, Erin and I were able to have a fun adventure this summer. At the beginning of the school year, we made a deal with her and Avery that if they got A's and A-'s all year, they would get a little trip. Erin chose to go see a major league baseball game. Well, she worked hard and got A's all year, so it was payback time!

Her and I set off for Denver, Colorado to watch the Rockies play. We were able to go see them play the Pirates, and the next day, they played the Dodgers - what a great time we had!!!! It was a little different being the one in charge when we traveled. I haven't had to carry my own driver's license since I got married. We did great, though.

The Rockies won the game against the Pirates 11-3. It was a beautiful afternoon game with lots of action. It was also the hottest day of the year (100) in Denver. What luck! Rockies lost against the Dodgers, though. But any baseball lover didn't care (except the two who got into the fist fight right behind us and had to be escorted away by police) because there were 38 hits in the game. Dodgers won 18-10. What an incredible game.

We had terrific seats - behind home plate the 1st game and over by third base the 2nd game. We were on tv every time they showed the Rockies pitcher walking off the field. We were a little blurry and you had to look hard, but we were there.

Looks like we are having a great time. It was a weird experience when boys and men were flirting with Erin. I couldn't believe it!! It's pretty weird being at this stage of life where my daughter attracts attention. Is that really supposed to happen??????
