Taylor has wanted a dog forever! Kevin and I know that she would take such good care of it, but don't feel like we are home enough to really take care of that kind of a pet. So about a year ago, Kevin bought her a fish for a pet. She even had a ring in it's bowl and "taught" it to swim through it. A few months ago, she has been talking about wanting a pet that she can hold and pet. Roxy, the fish, just isn't cuddly enough. So, Kevin went out and bought her 5 baby chicks.
It was just after Easter, and she has loved having them. But the baby chicks double in size in about two weeks, and no longer want to cuddle. We did lose one of the chicks (we think to a neighbor cat) The one that we lost, we named Flipper because he kept flapping his wings and trying to escape. Avery's named his Kobe, Erin's is Marshmallow, mine is Muncher and Taylor named hers Forever - because she has wanted a pet forever. Below are some pictures of them when they were small.
Yes, this is Taylor with her new baby chick, Forever, her new glasses, and a little bit of a perm that I attempted to give her.
Since these pictures, we have them outside in a chicken coop. Thanks James for the coop! Also, don't worry about Roxy, he is still very loved and well cared for.

Taylor, I love the name that you picked for your new little chick. Just try to keep holding them it may be a little hard at first but they will get use to it. Congratulations!

Corbin has been on the kick lately of wanting a pet. Like you I keep saying no. Although he has asked for a fish and I told him no to that one, too. Maybe we'll come up with something clever for his birthday. ?? Don't count on it.
Tell Avery I like Lebron better, even though I suggested Kobe. :)
Tays hair looked so good yesterday!! I wonder if I had mine layered if it would've "stayed". ?? Who knows, but I'm not ready to find out. ;)
