Mile Run

Today was the big mile run at North Park Elementary. Taylor didn't want to do it this year because last year she fell, and was afraid of that happening again. But between all of her family and her PE teacher, Mrs. Bowcutt, she ran her 1/4 mile! She had to run it in 1:55. She was ready at the line, but didn't hear the teacher say go, so she got kind of a slow start. But just a little way down the track, she started passing kids. She ended up coming in 2nd place right behind her good friend Rachel. She made her run in 1:48! YAY Taylor!!!!! She will get the Presidential Physical Fitness Award again this year. We were all so proud of her.

After we took Avery and Erin to their ball practices tonight, Kevin and I took Taylor out to dinner to celebrate. What a great kid! I have some cute pictures, I'll try to get them posted in the next couple of days.

Avery's team is kind of having a hard time so far this year. This last weekend was a tough double header to watch. They weren't doing very well, and all but a couple of boys just pretty much gave up. Hopefully this weekend will be better. They are playing in a tournament in Pocatello, Id. Avery is riding up with a friend on Friday, and Saturday, he and Kevin are headed back up. I hope it goes better.

Erin has her tournament this weekend in Orem. Taylor, Erin, Shelby (Erin's friend) and I are headed down Friday afternoon. They will have two games that night, and Saturday, who knows how long we'll be. Wish us luck!

They did just win a championship this week, so they are still flying high on that one. Monday night Erin, Stef, Colt and Marley headed to Roy to play (just Erin played) a couple of games. They Sliders ended up starting the championship game around 9:00 p.m. We didn't get home until 11:30. The ride home, though, was great since they won 1st place. We were all dragging a little the next day, though.

Sunday is Taylor's 8th birthday! I can't believe my baby is so big! She will be baptized on May 31. I can't believe it! We are having a little party on Sunday, so between ballgames, school, driving, and all the other stuff, we need to get ready for a birthday bash and barbecue! Can't wait!!

Phew! I am worn out just reading all of that! My life feels hectic, but it is more of an "at home" hectic!

I'm with Les - worn out! (That could be because I was out of bed before 8 this morning, I'm not used to that. I had to, though, the wall guy is here.)

Yea TAY JO!! I'm so proud of you for racing, you go girl!! Have fun with your mom this weekend. We'll see you at your party on Sunday!

Ave and E - good luck this weekend. I didn't realize your family was being split up between two tournaments. Good luck to both of you!! I wish we could be there (and everywhere else - LES) at the same time!!

It was fun going to E's last tournament, I'm glad they won even though we didn't get to bed way late. Oh well, things we do for our families, right?

Les, I'm only the fave because I'm so close and I make it happen. If I wasn't the fave I wouldn't go to games... okay, there's other stuff I do but I can't think of them. If you lived closer there'd be more of a competition. Not MUCH of one but MORE of one. ;) Plus, I'm always the fave. hehe

I love my sisters...
