School!!!

Well, we made it through the first week of school. Some of us less gracefully than others. It's been kind of a hard week for me, and I'm not really sure why, but I'll save that for some one on one time with some of you.
Taylor is going into 3rd grade. She is still at school with me. Her teacher this year is a new one who is a little older, and, most noticeably, not as warm and fuzzy as her others have been. Her classroom this year is in a portable in the back of the school. She has had a bit of a hard time adjusting, but after the first couple of days seems to be doing well.
I told her that I would walk her to class the first day. (She had already thrown up that morning. Nerves??? Who knows.) Well, I went to the office and got busy helping all the parents coming in. At 8:30 (10 min after the bell rings) someone told me that Taylor was looking for me. Mother of the Year already!!!! I walked her to class - we were both upset that she was tardy, and Erin had done her hair so the bobby pins were hurting her head. No wonder it was a rough day!
Erin is the oldest class at her school this year (Intermediate School) She is in 7th grade and has been so excited to go back and see her friends. It turned out that she has very few friends in any of her classes which has been a little bit hard. She doesn't like riding the bus and is begging me to get into a carpool. I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks she'll forget about her problems and focus on the good things. She already has made some new friends, so that is good. She is a great kid, and will survive.
Avery started 8th grade. He is now at the middle school. It has been really weird thinking of him over there, and I think we both have been a little nervous. But he is the one that came home the very happiest and excited. He loves it! He likes his teachers, his classes, and some of the pretty hot girls in his classes. He seems confident that he will be able to do well. I am sooooo relieved.

Avery was so excited about getting this baseball jersey! He got it instead of the Cubs because he knew Grandma Pam wouldn't let him come over to watch baseball anymore.

Oh, Tracy, I'm so sorry to hear that the girls have had a rough week. I wondered about Taylor's teacher?? I can't believe you have a middle-schooler. That school scares me :{ Even though your girls started out rough, they sure do look cute :) I hope things will be better next week. Enjoy your nice long weekend!!

These are great pictures. My little Fox kids are really growing up. Wow, Taylor's hair looks so cute. Kudo's to you, Erin. And Erin looks more beautiful every day. And then there is handsome Avery. Great looking Jersey - my poor Braves - I am already looking forward to next year. Love you all and thanks for this great blog. Love, Grandma Pam
