What a great and wonderful day Saturday was! It started early with Erin starting back in to softball games. Her fall league started - Yay! I didn't realize how much I've missed it. They were a little nervous because they lost about half their team at the end of last season. It was hard on Saturday to see so many of the girls playing on different teams. Anyway, the Sliders played great! They won both of their games. Then the coach from the Charge team (the team we are going to Mesquite with in October) asked if Erin could stay and play a couple of games with them. So she ended up playing 4 games and witnning 3. Not bad for their first day back!
Then at about 2 that afternoon, mom and I headed to pick up Jen and meet Les in Salt Lake. Jennifer had gotten tickets for us to go to the Relief Society General Meeting at the Conference Center. Wow! What a great experience! It was so amazing to be in a congregation with 20,000 women from all over who all have the same beliefs and the same respect for our dear prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. It was such a great thing to be in that meeting and listen to President Uchtdorf and the General Relief Society Presidency speak to us. They reminded us to be happy, attend the temple, serve others, and to pray. I loved what President Uchtdorf said about - you will be blessed for praying, but you might be blessed more for answering anothers prayers. What a great spirit there was in that meeting. I love this church!!
After the meeting, we walked to Olive Garden to wait for 40 minutes to have dinner. We had such fun. Mom said that she would buy my dinner since I bought her lunch earlier. It turned out that they messed up on my order - and it was was free! Boy, mom, you must be living right. As we were walking back to our car, we were passing the Galivan Center right at 10 p.m. For those of you who don't know, that is where the channel 2 news station is. They have cameras set up so you can see people behind the news people. So, of course, we had to stop to be on t.v. What a silly bunch of women we were. People probably thought we'd been drinking rather than having just went to a church meeting. I think we were all seen a little bit for a split second. The best, though, was seeing my ankles, pizza boxes, and my shirt. It was way too funny! Stef, we really missed you that night.
We finally made it back to our parking garage and forgot what level we were on. We only had to try 3 or 4 of the 9 levels, though. We made it home to Tremonton around 12:15 am. Way past my bedtime!!!!! What a great way to spend a Saturday, and what memories we shared! Thanks, girls, for a very fun, spiritual, and silly time!!! Love you all!

It was such a wonderful night! I am glad we were able to enjoy the spirit together and then head out and have even more fun!
When I think of your's and mom's ankles appearing on t.v., I seriously laugh HARD!!! I hope you kept that saved so that I can watch it on the actual t.v.! that was so much fun! I am glad we stopped. Sorry we made you stop mom, but you must admit it was pretty darn funny to watch us all trying to get on t.v.
Anyway, thanks for meeting up with me! I can't believe how we pretty much bumped right into each other. It worked our perfectly!
Glad you had a great day, I know that I did! I love all of you and felt lucky to see you that day! Stef, I missed you too!
I was also at the conference center. You are right , the spirit is amazing there. Sounds like you also had a wonderfum experience!
Tracy I'm glad you all had a good time. I wish I could have gone.
Seriously, I am still laughing about the whole ankle thing. It just makes me laugh every time I think about it. What fun! I wore my glasses to church the next day because my eyes were sore from staying up late.
The meeting was so awesome, and just what I needed to hear. Although I haven't created anything for myself yet. (Just sloppy joes...does that count?)
